Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has six, two-minute breaks and an average program runtime of 45:37. Internal commercial load is 13 minutes (26 :30-second spots) plus local end break.
Syndication timing sheets are available. A generic format is available.
Note:
Episode numbers begin at "401" rather than the more usual "001".
Episodes that originally aired as 2-hour movies are available in both the two-part and the original feature configurations. Those episodes are:
401 and 402 ("The Emissary") Feature episode 721 (Series Premiere.)
473 and 474 ("The Way of the Warrior") Feature episode 718
575 and 576 ("What You Leave Behind") Feature episode 749 (Series Finale)
Episodes that aired originally as two-parters are not available as features.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine features a number of multi-part episodes that do not share a common title. Nonetheless, these episodes are directly related and are noted as such. Also, the season finales generally do not end with an actual cliff-hanger, but rather introduce a new storyline that is picked up with the next season. Special attention is called to multi-parters and story arcs when possible, but it should be noted that the series as a whole has many continuing storylines and care should be taken in scheduling because of this.
